In an industry where reliance on IT systems is paramount, the client approached Tek-nology Solutions to introduce High Availability (HA) into its Check Point firewall, as part of the company’s business continuity plans; addressing any potential vulnerabilities associated with internet downtime as a result of firewall failure.
The company’s business is now protected by a High Availability pair of firewalls. A dedicated management server, running on Windows in a virtualised environment, has been configured taking advantage of the benefits associated with virtualisation. With two physical gateways established, the company now has a resilient solution with no single point of failure.
Tek-nology Solutions specified and designed the required solution and, as part of this process, assisted the organisation with the configuration and project delivery – and continues to provide ongoing support and guidance. As part of migrating the original firewall to the new High Availability solution, Tek-nology Solutions was onsite to ensure a smooth switchover.
